Thought Bubble’s Managing Director Nyree McKenzie has secured a place at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Global Entrepreneurship Bootcamp to be hosted by QUT in Brisbane from March 26-31.
More than 6,000 applications were received from 135 countries but only 120 people were accepted based on the criteria of rigour, initiative, contribution, team and cultural fit and entrepreneurship potential. The highly selective process required Nyree to pitch a start-up idea, undertake testing, and complete an interview with MIT.
The program condenses a semester-long course into a week-long intensive where attendees work alongside other entrepreneurs, technical experts and academics to learn first-hand the ups and downs of launching a tech start up.
“Having worked in the business development industry for nearly 20 years I know first-hand the pain points individuals, teams and organisations go through to plan and produce their tenders, bids, proposals and program funding applications. I pitched a software platform that will transform the way business development teams across the professional services sector work together in the future.
“Attending the MIT Bootcamp will provide the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge of what it takes to take the Beta platform to market, and fast-track its commercialisation for a global user-base”.
